Pine River Donation

Marion's Studio has once again delivered a check to the Pine River Elementary School in East China. Each year Marion's Studios sets up at the school and photographs families from the school. There is no session fee and a discount is given for the packages. A portion of each session is donated back to the school. So this is a win-win opportunity for everyone. Our daugter Eve goes to this school and is pictured with Luann Marion and Mrs. Joyce Lemmer, the schools Principal.

Joel Klaas Wins Bowling State Championship

We just finished Joel's Senior pictures. He was really interesting to talk to. I've never had that much abiltiy in bowling, but I'm fascinated by people that can do remarkable things. Joel just got back from the High School State finals. He actually finished first place. It took quite a lot of skill to get to that final game. As Joel puts it "This past weekend was definitly a weekend I'll remember for the rest of my life." It started out when he was on his very first league at the age of three. Bowling runs in the family. I photographed his sister's senior portraits a few years ago and she was also a bowler.
In this picture you can see Joel's ring. Guess what???? a perfect game, 300! But the thing that really made my jaw drop was when his mom told me that he won that when he was 12. He is the youngest person in Port Huron to bowl a perfect league game.
Joel Klaas, Division 1 State Champion. It was an honor to photograph you. Congratulations on your accomplishment. And thank you for choosing Marion's to photograph your senior pictures.

Time for a Change

With Spring almost here, I am beginning to feel the pangs of fresh ideas myself. Everyday my mind is filled with ideas that I want to incorporate into my options for you. I want to create fresh new and exciting images that you will love. I am inspired by so many talented photographers that I am friends with. I have a friend in Holland who really gets me out of the box. Of course, Europeons are a bit more contemporary in their style than we are.
I want to incorporate more "sets" rather than "backgrounds". I have had really great response to the sets that I have. I am looking for an old ornate lovechair. I want to place it in a very modern set. If anyone ever sees ideas that are cool, please send me the image via email. I have a folder where I collect ideas that inspire me.
